Ok, I thought I did a lot of research here, looking at quality of image and quietness of the video zoom, etc. I saw this on some of the best online camera review sites, and of course, the waterproofing and durability. This camera is head and shoulders above the other point and shoot cameras for snorkeling, outdoor shots, video in at least a decently lit location, and even indoors within 5 feet of the camera. My favorite setting continues to be – AUTO! Managed to pick it out with a fine wire and it is still working OK. Not a good design. I found out some water drops got inside even it was properly sealed. Also I have to admit the ocean was a kind of rough that day. I like it very much and got this one as a gift for my fiance. We use them for video half the time.

Don’t know that I would trust the waterproof feature 100% for underwater photography, especially if it has been opened in unfavorable conditions (at the beach) and the “O” ring seal gets contaminated (not an uncommon problem). The warranty won’t cover water intrusion damage in that case.

What else could one ask for” This cell phone holder works great for my Droid X. My wife and I both have Motorola Droid X phones. I bought 2 mounts as we have 2 cars.

I’m glad the vent clip isn’t the only piece in this because it’s totally useless. Any phone that has any weight to it (I have a big Droid 2) is going to pull the vent down, and it’s also going to pull the adjustment arm on the mount down as well.

Other than that, it’s awesome. I was pretty happy with this mount. I do have a fear that the clamp release button will eventually wear out on it, but until it does, it gets a five star rating from me. I purchased this for my new MyTouch 4g. I couldn’t get this to work for my life. I needed a vent mount so that it was closer to me and easier to see. There is easy access to battery chargers and aux outlets and the bottom holders adjust to fit an iPod charger. Great little product I returned a cup holder type phone holder for my HTC Evo because it was too distracting. I take the mega grip off and slip it on the vent mount in my car. The vent mount is okay, I’m not a big fan of them but it gets the basic job done.

A week later, the new suction cup arrived in the mail, and it is much better. Once it’s attached and locked, you can pull on it and it won’t budge (within reason!) Clearly I can reach out and turn the phone from portrait to landscape without fear of the suction cup falling off.

The mount rattles when in the fully opened position. I have to click it one level closed, and it solves this problem.

I’d give it more stars if the “clip” construction was better quality. I purchased this mount for my iPhone before a trip and was very pleased with it. We actually attached the adhesive disc to the side of the fridge, and are now able to use this as a holder for the phone while we’re in the kitchen. It’s a great way to keep an eye on your recipes.
